It's a very unusual experience to be able to lou sang in the UK. At least, we managed to have the opportunity to do so~! Potluck was good, a memorable experience indeed. Oh, and we shouted Yam Seng together~! Weeeee~

First time celebrating CNY away from home. It's a sad thing but at least I have friends to celebrate with. It's not even CNY eve but we had a simple dinner at China Palace to celebrate the occasion. We'll be having a potluck event on Monday again to celebrate.

Skyping with relatives will be my top priority to do this CNY. Well, too bad that there aren't much things to do other than this.

The peeps have went clubbing but I opted out of it. I just don't like clubs.

The recent hot topic is no other than SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) introduced in the United States. If this bill was to become law, the US law enforcement will have more power to fight online trafficking in copyrighted intellectual property and counterfeit goods.

So a number of websites had publicly choose to protest against the passing of this bill. Notably Wikipedia will go offline tomorrow as a sign of protest. The reason for the said website to protest about it is that it'll greatly affect the use of the world wide web and it will be rather devastating.

Well, I really do wonder how much of an impact will all this protest have on the Congress while passing the bill to make the Act a law. But well, as a student, although I'm not studying US law it'll definitely be a good thing to research on since I'm doing IP law.

Ah well, let's just see how all this develops...

To people who need to do research, it's advisable to start your research now before Wikipedia blacks out on Wednesday!

時間真的過的真快啊. 一轉眼我們的寒假就要劃上句點了.
這次的寒假其實過得很充實.
去了那麼多地方旅行, 還跟老哥敘舊一下, 也探望了好久不見的表哥.

雖然說放假的心情還很濃厚, 但是還是得收拾心情, 準備開始衝刺了.
學生生涯的最後一個學期...
感覺好不真實.
或許自己還不願意那麼快就畢業吧.
的確, 還沒過21歲生日就已經畢業了, 這怎麼說也有點不可思議吧.

嗯, 就這樣吧... 要好好的過這最後一個學期.
保佑我, 考到理想的成績吧~!

It's almost halfway through January 2012 and I haven't written a post to reflect on 2011. My bad. I've been busy with my holiday trips and BPTC application so I only have time to write it right now.

2011 was a year of mixed feelings. There were a few events which happened and it did change my life a bit.

There was my last CNY spent with my family before leaving for the UK. That was something I cherish a lot since I'm feeling the sense of lost right now in UK.

There was my breakdown while preparing for Year 2 finals. It was my fault for preparing for exams at such a late time. I was so worried about C&A that I had insomnia for 4 days and it was like 3 days before my first paper. I had to see a doctor to get sleeping pills so that I can at least sleep for a while.

There was my trip to Taiwan with my cousin and aunt. It was fun and I did a lot of shopping. It was my second time visiting Taiwan and I can foresee that the numbers will increase.

There was the sense of relief after receiving my Year 2 results. The subject that I feared the most is actually the subject that I scored the highest among the other 3 subjects (not including writing credit, that is). Sometimes, some stressful moments do help a lot with pushing your grade up but I told myself, never ever do that again. I don't want to live on sleeping pills.

There was the crazy times where I went to have Snowflake once a week with my snowflake kaki. I miss those times, seriously. I miss you too dear. Hope that work is not stressing you too much.

There was the time where my uncle was admitted to the hospital because of cancer. He had to do surgery. I was doing my attachment that time and I had to commute to the hospital everyday for a week after work to visit him. Thank god everything's alright and he's fine now.

There was B5M's 5th anniversary gathering in Ipoh which was an awesome gathering before leaving for the UK. I had a lot of fun although I would prefer that the teasing part can be toned down. Haha~ Indeed, you're my best partner. I appreciate that a lot.

There was the time where I watched 3DNA four times. It was crazy as I spent at least RM100 on that but it was worth it. Watching it with the right people and at the right position is awesome. The one where b5m booked the whole cinema hall for us to watch was the best. Till today, I cannot forget the feel of 120 people singing together and jumping together in a cinema hall...

There was the most important event of the year, which is the fact that I have to come to the UK to further my studies. It was a big change in my life, more of a culture shock. I had to do everything myself and I'm on my own, literally. Although there are friends but there are certain things which you have to deal with yourself. It wasn't easy, those 3 months but at least I'm getting used to it now.

There was my Europe trip. It was tiring as I had to look after 4 people, read maps, lead the group, make decisions and the list just goes on. But the tough work actually paid off and I really enjoyed the trip. I would definitely go back to Italy and Germany. As for France, I might venture South France the next time. Paris just gave me a bad impression.

There was certain sorting out with my personal life. I got the chance to make certain things clear and at least I managed to convince myself to let go on you. Sort of. Haha. Well, at least I'm happy now.

2011 indeed was a fulfilling year. There were many small things which I didn't bother to list them down. I'm happy with everything but seriously, why is my love life still as blank as a piece of white paper?

So my 2012 resolution?

I just pray that everything is smooth, everyone that I love is healthy and I want to get a second upper class honours for my degree.

Oh, and of course, find a good guy. Haha.

I'll embrace anything that comes to me. But the start of 2012 seems to suggest to me that it'll be a tough year. Sigh.

I'm back! Very tired from the trip. If I count England as 1 country that I've been to the last 3 weeks, that will make it 5 countries! An achievement, but seriously, damn tiring.

Europe is fun with a lot of uncertainties at the beginning, getting a lot better closing to the end. Nonetheless, I'm happy. Italy and Germany will be my favourite countries and places that I will recommend you to go back. As for France, let's just say that I have some bad encounters there that put me off. Paris as a romantic city? Neh, I wouldn't say so. Venice beats it easily.

Dear brother visited me and we visited our cousin up in Glasgow. Awesome city I must say. Definitely going back there (since I have free accommodation! XD).

Back to the days of cooking and studying. Sigh, and I've been sleeping for the past few hours. Pig, indeed.

End of a term, start of holidays

Autumn Term had ended and it is the start of the Winter break! Leaving for my Europe trip tomorrow and will be away until after New Year. So don't feel weird if I had not been updating my blog on Mayday's stuff or my life.

What a way to start my holidays by getting a hard slam on my small toe... I hope it won't cause me too much problem because I'll be walking a hell lot during the trip. Anyway, loaded my iPod with Mayday's latest album and will try my best to keep myself entertained by it when I'm on the train! Too bad I don't have the charger for my iPod. I only have the ones which connect to the computer, not to the power sockets.

In the mean time, I'm just relaxing and awaiting to start my trip tomorrow! You guys have a great holiday too~ Bye~~~~~!

There will be a mosh pit aka rock zone too. Price for this is $228

My thoughts on this? Damn expensive. I heard it's due to inflation. But seriously, $228 for rock zone? It's too much for me. Malaysia's one was fairly priced as it was RM268 for rock zone while VIP was RM400 something. $228, that's like RM550... I would rather spend that amount of money for the Taiwan concerts.

I'm speaking like I'm going but unfortunately, I can't. Air ticket price is like £665 and plus this concert ticket, accommodation, food, travel expenses, etc. I'll be starving for the last few months of my studies here. Sigh.

Anyway, I'm still looking forward to the new album! =D

Nottingham Malaysian Games 2011

Notts Game was... okay. No pictures since I didn't bring my camera. Hurt my thumb in the game because I tried saving the ball with the wrong way. Aiks, quite regretting the fact that I went to save it. But at least, I can turn on the tap using my hand with the injured thumb already! It was terrible the day before, can't even do anything with that hand.

With the Games put aside, I feel quite empty on the inside. Maybe because there's no more practice to actually go to (I really din't look forward to those practices!). In the end, no matter how I hate the fact that our team was so.... (don't really want to comment on that), it was a good experience nonetheless.

And I'm just glad that I don't need to see her that often anymore...

For now, all I have to do is to relax and maybe focus a bit more on studies. Or, I should really just go sign up for gym or something. Or, I should really try to train my badminton skills again. See how the flow goes.

With that, I hope the scandals around me will die down. It's kinda scary to see how messy things are getting around here. =/

On a side note, Singapore's concert is confirmed to be on 25th February 2012. Damn tempted to fly back for the weekend. AirAsia of course offers the cheapest, but really, I don't mind.

But... I know parents will never let me go. Unless... I bought the tickets already and then, tell them. Sigh.

It's been a month, a month since I've left and came here to pursue my education. Indeed I keep on thinking whether it would be better if I just stayed on in Malaysia. But at least I can say now that I'm experiencing something which I can't in Malaysia. I thank my parents for giving me this chance to be here. Although alone and away from you, I'll make sure I won't let you all down.

Reading is a small town which kinda doesn't give me the feel that I'm in the United Kingdom. Maybe because the town is filled with students, especially international students from the university. I can hear glimpses of Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Malay and etc whenever I walk around in town. It may be a good thing and it can be a bad thing too. In fact, I think I would rather go to bigger cities like Cardiff. At least I get the feel that I'm really in another country.

Well, just here to let you all know, I'm doing fine and am enjoying every single minute here. Classes are hectic and relaxing at the same time, which I don't know how can that two exist at the same time. Trying to spend as little as possible but I'm having a hard time controlling myself from not buying any nice knitwear! Knitwear here are awesome and I love them~ I'm also trying to accustom myself to do everything alone. Or else I'll just feel like I'm still in Taylor's with my bunch of friends~ Haha.

Anyway, this is a memorable post because it's my 1001th post on this blog! Hurray~!

Might be heading to London this weekend, Nottingham in 2 weeks time for the Malaysian Games. I'm playing volleyball, which I have not been playing since don't know when. And it's a great opportunity to meet my friends who are in UK because some of them are going too! Yay~!

My favourite shop is River Island yet I never buy anything from that place yet...

Bought a pair of boots from Dorothy Perkins today. Good discount that's why I got them. So now I just need to get gloves, wool socks and some thermal wear and I'm geared up for winter! =)

PS: So glad that I bought SR hoodies and jacket! They are lifesavers in autumn! I don't need to wear so thick!

Curry Chicken

First attempt in cooking curry chicken. The sauce we bought was a bit on the sweet side so the curry ain't the type that I like. But overall, I think it's quite ok, considering it is my first time cooking it.

Greetings from Reading, UK!

Settling down in my temporary accommodation. Will be moving into my real one on the 30th. So I can't really unpack all of my stuff. =/

The flight was terrible. My throat was irritating me and the air in the aircraft wasn't helping at all. It made it worse and I felt like dying on the way here. But I made it! hehe.

Ok, the sleepiness is getting to me. Time to sleep! Good night everyone!

Last day in Malaysia

It's my last day in Malaysia before I fly off to everyone's dream place, UK. What are my feelings? A lil nervous and a lil excited, with a dash of unwillingness to leave. Indeed, no matter how I don't like Malaysia, it is still my home. My family is here, my friends are here. Most importantly, Mayday comes here. But for the sake of my future, I have to leave.

I remember the times when we were trying to decide which day to fly on. In the end, we decided to go for 27th, a Tuesday. One of the main reason is not to let anyone to come and see us off except close family members. My plan somehow is on track as only close family members and a friend is coming to see me off. Well, of course, there may be surprises but I hope not. I don't want people to see my pitiful tears.

Well, at least I had done almost everything before leaving. Ate my favourite bak kut teh, hokkien mee, snowflake, etc, met most of my friends, had loads of fun with b5m people, spent time with family and many more. I must say, I have no regrets.

Till then, see you guys 9 months later.

Big success, but Pavilion's GSC is bad. Started off with faulty equipment which they were forced to stop the show when it started so that they could rectify the problem. Then the speakers were lousy and the sound was very soft. But I got to say, watching with the right people makes a lot of difference! I had a blast! Thanks!

Law Ball 2011 was better than I expected. My dear bao bei didn't come which made me quite lonely but at least there's bao bei Cheryl with me at the VIP table.

Yes, I sat at the VIP table and it was awkward. Next time, I am not going to sit at VIP tables anymore.

Overall, I give it a 3.5 out of 5 because I think the decorations could be better. I'll miss Taylor's a lot since I've been there for like 3 years already. I'll definitely attend Law Ball 2012 if alumni can come for free~ XD

All the best to us who are leaving for Reading and also to those who are continuing in Taylor's. Law School ROCKS!

手術作了, 慢慢的好起來了.

剛開始去探望他的時候, 他都說不到話, 只能抬手跟你說hi.

Harry Potter 7 Part 2!

HELLO! I'M BACK!

Okay, I've been back for 2 weeks already. I was lazy to update my blog...

Good news is that I passed my exams! Arrived in Taiwan at 8pm and I immediately checked my e-mail to see my results, putting aside the fact that the data roaming charges is going to kill my pocket. It wasn't out yet then, but when I was waiting for my baggage to come out, I checked again and my heart dropped when I saw "Risis". I quickly checked and to my relief, passed at the first attempt! Thank god I passed Consti!!!!

Anyway, Taiwan was awesome but the weather was SUPER hot. I really need to emphasize on that "super" word. I'm not kidding you. The glare from the sun and it literally bites through your skin. I'm two shades darker now. If you don't believe it, come and have a look yourself. But apparently, it has been raining in Taiwan these few days. Maybe I can say that I'm lucky because if it rains, it's hard to play.

Put that aside, I came back 2 days before the history-making Bersih gathering. I knew my mum wouldn't allow me to go so I didn't bother asking or even going. But I regretted that indeed. If I don't stand up for a better future, I won't get it. Easy said than done but there's no harm trying.

Over the past week, I've been staying at home, watching dramas and lying on the bed most of the time. It's been long since I've done that. Exams killed me indeed. Hah!

Might be going to Penang this week. Not confirmed yet. I actually hate all these last minute confirmation. But ah well, that's the problem if you're going from 2 different places. Bah.

Am supposed to start to learn driving but my laziness kicked in and I'm still reluctant to go and sign up for it. I'm actually wondering whether I can finish it by September. Hmm... Well, I don't have a car now anyway, so no motivation for me to start learning. LOL. Okay, lame excuse. I hate driving and that's it. But it'll be an important means of transportation when I come back from England. Sigh...

這次的金曲獎, 真的很令人失望啊...
嚴爵沒得新人獎真是可惜...
雖然我已經預料到韋禮安會得, 因為不可能會給他最佳男歌手.
Matzka拿最佳樂團, 實至名歸.
雖然我覺得IO樂團也不錯~
李宗盛拿了最佳作詞, 最佳作曲和最佳年度歌曲, 實至名歸.
撇開台語, 客家, 原住民的獎項, 說實話我很多都不認同.
就如最佳演唱組合. 為甚麼是大嘴巴?
最佳男歌手. 為甚麼是某J? 我真的不明白. 原來退步也可以得到肯定.
最佳專輯. 為甚麼是某J? 說實話那張專輯也不是很好聽.

的確音樂是很主觀的東西.
有些人喜歡, 有些人不喜歡.
你要來批評我所說的我沒關係.
我只是說說而已.

明年.

Stayreal is having a joint exhibition along with other artists. Now this is interesting. I'll be in Taiwan during that period of time. This just means that I can drop by to have a look!

Ticket price is NTD250, but if you buy now in 7-11 or on Books, you'll get this buy one free one promotion! But my cousins and aunt don't want to go, so I guess I gotta go alone while they go shopping.

Lucky or what? It seems that I have some luck with exhibition held by Ashin. Last year was Revolution of Evolution and this year is this~ Lovely~! But this time round I wouldn't be able to see Ashin in person...

Trip to the Dentist

If you had been following me on FB or Twitter, you would have noticed that I had been having toothache for the past 2 days. I thought it'll go off by itself but it got worse, so I decided to visit a dentist for solutions.

Before I go on, I would like to say that I'm afraid of doctors. Dentist is one kind of doctor so yeah, I was having butterflies in my stomach when I went. It's kinda ironic that I actually have a phobia of seeing doctors but my brother is a doctor.

Anyway, the dentist told me my teeth seem perfectly fine from the outside. No cracks, no fractures, no injuries, nothing. Then he used one of his dental instrument to tap on my teeth. The pain was immense. Not to mention that there are three teeth which hurt like hell. But the worst one was the 1st premolar. That hurt the most. He said it's most probably that I have an inner growth in my teeth which is irritating the nerve aka pulp.

Later, he did a x-ray on my teeth to check. True enough, the nerves were inflamed and it's affecting the two teeth beside it. That's why I felt pain on three teeth. Then he said I had to do root canal treatment. He injected anesthetic, which wasn't painful to my surprise (I hate injections). He drilled a hole in my teeth and used some sharp needle-like thingy to clean the pulp. Then inserted some medication thingy and then sealed the holds with some temporary filling.

I had to go back after 2 weeks to do the permanent filling. So this treatment thingy cost RM750. Yes, it's that expensive. And hey, this amount does not cover the permanent filling yet. So I guess by the end of everything, it'll come around to about RM900 something. Bloody expensive.

Sigh... I still feel the nagging pain now but he said it'll take one day to reside. He said the pain will gradually decrease but I don't feel like it. Maybe it's in my mind. If it's still painful tomorrow, I gotta call him to ask.

I hope my teeth will heal well. I need to concentrate for my last paper. Dear tooth, please co-operate with me and be good. I need all the will and comfort to study! Please and thank you!!! ><

The next battle is on Tuesday. My progress on it is quite satisfactory. But I'm still super worried for my third paper. But after that, it'll be temporary freedom for me!

Been having insomnia for the past 4 nights. I had enough of it so I went to see a doctor. The doctor lectured me on how to relax and stuff, but still gave me what I needed. Took it last night but it only let me sleep for 3 hours. After that I woke up and went back to sleep on my own but I kept waking up. At least, I did sleep la.

Today's my dad's birthday too! Happy birthday my dear daddy! I love you!!! <3

Rantings

Thinking too much is really causing me to be at the brink of a collapse. I hate to think too much, but it's like unstoppable. The more I think, the more I tell myself to stop thinking. And by doing so, I can't sleep well. I always wake up after 5-6 hours sleep and I can't go back to sleep because I keep thinking of things, especially things that I worry a lot and things which make me super nervous.

Equity paper is the day after tomorrow. I'm still quite afraid that I can't answer the questions cause I don't understand them. But basically I memorize more or less the stuff that I need to know. Just that putting them down in words would be tough. 3 hours to answer 4 questions is a tough job. Sigh.

I'm even more worried bout Consti, which is next Friday. I don't have enough time to mug for it. Not to mention the fact that I don't really understand the subject. I don't know how to answer the questions. I don't know whether I can pass this subject. This is the main culprit of not making me sleep well.

I complained to my mum and dad, cried and vent my frustrations at them. They told me to try my best. Mum even said get a pass will do. I know they are just trying to comfort me. I know they have high expectations on me. I know they wanna see me do very well. I just know that I will let them down and I hate that feeling.

All these combined together, no wonder I can't sleep well. Been having headaches in the afternoon for the past few days and this is bad since exams are in the afternoon. I'm planning to bring panadol into the exam hall just in case. I'm trying to tune my biological clock to wake up later so that my mind will be fresher in the afternoon.

Well, that's enough of ranting from me. Please pray for me to pass all my subjects so I can go England. Please pray that I can sleep well for the next few days. Thank you...

今天真的很不爭氣

崩潰了那麼多次

流了那麼多淚

明明還有4天可以慢慢背

但我總覺得我做不到

很多東西都還沒有好好理解

這次的崩潰讓我想到去年的考試

那時候真的崩潰到想放棄

Reason why I'm still awake

The pressure finally got to me. I can't believe I made note since 9am until now. I only took an hour's break twice for food and to get Starbucks. Managed to write notes for 3/4 of Consti and finished 1 pre seen question. Well, it's some achievement although I still doubt that I can actually remember what I have written.

I quite hate the feeling of doing last minute work but I work well with it and I accept it. Just that I don't like the feel of adrenaline running through you as you panic and break down from the pressure.

Shall finish up the notes for Consti and do the last pre seen question. Then, I got to start on my Land pre seen question which I have totally no idea how to start.

Sigh... Life as a law student.

I want this to end soon.

不曉得從甚麼時候開始

我已經習慣保持沉默

個性使然? 還是順其自然?

不曉得.

我只知道我從小就不是多話的人

在群眾裡

我永遠是安靜的那個

不會多說甚麼

只會說我該說的話

對於以後要在社會走跳

一定是很大很大的缺點

更何況我要走的這一行

更需要很好的社交技巧

還有多跟不同的人接觸

也可以說是攀關係

當然

沉默久了

自然而然就不喜歡講話了

除了跟要好的朋友有說不完的話

或者跟五迷討論五月天的事情

又或者跟家人聊天

其他時候我都是很安靜

是時候多說話了吧

以前的我比現在更安靜

幾年後的我是否會必現在的我多話了呢?
